Professional Athletes Show Commitment to 757 at Youth Football Camp

Less than two weeks separate New Orleans Saints defensive end Darryl Tapp from training camp for his 12th NFL season.

Still, even with the start of the season looming, the Deep Creek graduate jumped at the chance to volunteer at the Hampton Roads All-Star Football Camp this weekend.

Tapp joined a cadre of NFL players and alumni with local ties for the first day at Christopher Newport University on Friday.

“From camps to food banks to schools, we really want to help our community become better and grow,” he said. “That’s something that’s been ingrained in us from when we were little kids on up.”
